Yep they are next up!
still unsure whether to go with 15's like your ARE's of go to 17's with the bigger choice of rubber???
And if i go to max width i'd still have a slightly chubby side wall .

Thanks for the positive comments guys, its been a slog but worth it, my wife surprised me she loves it!
The sound and heat reduction insulation that ive put into the car has really paid off, i'l take that forward and completely trim and insulate to whole boot area, but thats a job for the winter months,

Very nice work indeed. So pleased to see this car get the resto it deserved.

Looks fab, even with my old 14" Rallyes. Here they are back in the early 80's, propping up my old Satellite.

17" rallyes for me, more of a subtle modern than the bigger magnums :thumbright:

15's Classic ARE's still favourite, they shout old skool,
The car drives and tracks well on the old BFG's so cant help thinking how much better it will be on new ones, and i cant help thinking that the large sidewall must help soften the ride, which to me is sooooo much more important than looking cool lol...

Everything ive done to the car has been done to reduce rattles/bangs etc to the minimum ,
The car rattled beyond belief when i got it lol, Barry had a Replacement speedo fitted by someone, good grief the noise from the dash was terrible,
at least half the fixings had gone west!
The wiper motor had a mind of its own, due to the variable sweep speed, stripped and cleaned, plus a rewire, and a proper switch earth sorted that.
Still have clonky gearboxs on the wipers so i'l pull them apart and rebush them
The front seats weigh a ton! and have a really rubbish seat back locking , the passenger makes an annoying noise when its empty? this will need addressing !
Are old cars ever really finished???

Not much to report, got 500 miles on the car now, behaving very nicely, held off spending out on rimes etc till ive got a better idea of whether i'l still have a job come November!

My bosses have got me on private paying jobs ATM?
so i'l just be patient for a couple more months, :D

Feedback from the public has been marvelous, nothing but nice friendly comments, including " are you going to put numbers on the doors!!"
