Fantastic work, that hood looks a devil to fit, makes the Challenger look easy as it only meets at the sides.

Excellent progress, you should be very proud.

Awesome post and amazing work. Is it not crazy what we do to drive these cars?! So so worth it though. What a beautiful machine you are building. Well done!

Not much in the way of updates at the moment. I've managed to get the 4speed tunnel mounted and welded in place, and the parts for the transmission finally arrived. Dan at Brewers performance was incredibly helpful with sourcing a bell housing and the necessary hardware to get it mounted. I'm still waiting on a few parts for the clutch linkage but there's stills plenty to do before it all goes together.
The boot floor is 99% complete but the rear quarters and rear valance are still taking a while for me to get to a point I'm happy with. There's been a lot of cutting, trimming and panel beating to get the gaps nice and even but with so many different panels having been replaced, you can imagine, it's very time consuming getting it all to a point I'm happy with.
Still, some progress is better than no progress right?

Excellent work, please keep the updates coming.

For the record, I am going in the opposite direction on my 'Cuda: Taking the 4 speed out and putting an auto in!

Thanks for the support guys, it's great to be part of a community that's supportive :salute:
Over the last couple of weekends I've managed to prime the interior of the car. I used a zinc based etch primer by Bonda. it covered really well by using 2 light dust coats and a final wet coat diluted with approximately 10% cellulose thinner. Hopefully this will help the old girl last another 40+ years.

I've also modified the rear bumper brackets to neatly tuck the bumper in to the recess and remove the old plastic filler panel's. I had to remove over 40mm out of the bracket's to get the gaps neat. I elongated the fixings all around to give me some adjustment to ensure even spacing when it comes to final fitting too.

Next on the agenda is to get the rear springs relocated inboard to fit some wider rubber under the arches.
