Yes, been a big leap forward on a couple of jobs I really wasn’t sure about. :)

Need to wait for some fixings to arrive and see if I can get a paint match, but much happier with the progress now.

Just got a sneak preview from the upholsterer of the seat base, just needs fixing down properly at the back and then he’s on to the seat back. Decided against importing covers and have complete hand made for the back seat. No more expensive than getting a set imported and trying to wrestle them on myself in the end and the stitching will all be much stronger. Happy with how this is progressing so far, can’t wait to get it back. 8-)

Very pleased from the photo. French seams too, so will be strong enough to hopefully outlive me.

Hmmm… might be a slight return to the drawing board on the indicators. All great except (as a couple suspected) the brake light obscures the indicator panel completely with the brakes on. May just have to disable the brake light on that bit, but conscious that it is the tail light too, so would mean I wouldn’t have full width tail lights. :-k

is the indicator clear when the tail lights are on? if so only the brake function needs disconnecting. giving stop/tail on the inners and indicator/tail on the outers. you'd still have all 4 tail lights that way.

Need to check, but don’t think so. Called it a day for today before I Bananarama! with a hammer. Spent 3 hours on my back on a concrete floor wrestling with the bumper on my own and now found out the rear valance is way out of whack. Had enough now.

I got rid of the outside tail lights when I rewired my lights so I had separate indicators to the stop/tails.

I’ve thought about it, but if I’m out in the dark I’d rather the tail lights were the full width of the rear, so still pondering next steps.

On the bright side, the rear is much closer to true than it was before, so much happier with that. Will do some more measuring and try and figure out where the last bit needs massaging. The bumper is definitely straighter than it was, so hopefully not far away now.

Annoyed at finding the valance is out now. When the bumper came off, it turned out the valance had never been bolted on properly, it was just leaning on the brackets. I had assumed that once I had the correct bolts it would pull it back into true. Nope… brackets and valance holes are nowhere near lining up.

just a thought, can you fit a 'baffle' plate in the light housing to seperate the indicator led's from the stop n tail? either to the outer edge or along the top above the bulb would work. it's be a completely seperate light that way shining through it's own part of the lens. you'd still have all the tail lights but the indicator wouldn't be over powered by them. maybe mount the led's to the baffle a bit closer to the lens itself too for more clarity?
