Pedantry or?

Post by Captain Chaos »

What ho peeps!

I’m doing a engine bay detail along with cooling and fuel upgrades. One thing that has always niggled me slightly is seeing white through the grille on my Road Runner. I have a small area of front panel to paint and am refinishing the existing black areas. The only thing left you can see is the catch tank and I was thinking of painting the exposed front of the tank to make it less obvious….. Am I being a bit silly here? No need to be gentle 😉

If you have got it fitted for NSS purposes, I would not paint it so that I could see the level through the Grille as a quick check that you were not shipping too much coolant when hot....

If not, then paint it if you wish.... or relocate the tank so it is not visible...but still functional.

i've painted a couple but masked a half inch strip top to bottom where it'll be visible to check the level.

I don’t like to see anything through the grille, I always paint the front of ally rads black too.

+1. Painted the Ally rad and the dixie-horns. Blue probably doesnt have the dixie horns though...

For some reason I’m thinking “three blind mice” on my school recorder.

Way off the mark I use a plastic horn off a moped, it’s proper shrill!
