Never mind all that, John Dianna knows a thing or two about small blocks, that car was in the mid 10's in 1971, at less than 340 cubes and on T/A heads with a 4 speed. Spun it to a million rpm. I read the article on the build up of that car so many times when I was a kid, I'm surprised there was any print left on the page. He was tech editor for Hot Rod Magazine and had "connections" with the factory.

I had a 1970s black man behind me this morning driving a merc.

Afro, tash, brown jacket and tie, dark brown tinted aviator shaped glasses, the works. I thought it was Shaft for a moment and had to do a double look.
