Man, Fortnite. I don't know, there's something about that game that makes me hate it.

You are right - something about that game.
I like video games - always have done since I wasnt even tall enough to to reach the space invaders buttons - but this thing - I just dont get it. What I will say is that I have never seen anything 'infect' young minds like it. Its like catnip. He has friends that seemingly spend every waking moment on it. Hours a day. Nights too at weekends. There is no social scene - only fortnite. Any human interaction happens via fortnite.
You cant take it away as they become social lepers. He already feels he has the worst parent in the world as we limit it to 1hr a day on schooldays and about 3 hrs weekends. It alters mood and withdrawal can be meltdown. Its a horrific thing - and I JUST DONT GET IT. I cant see what all the fuss is about - but almost every kid I know is addicted to it ?!?

Blimey. Phew. Thread Hijack... :arrrmeharties:

Everything seems to be designed to be addictive for kids these days. Did anyone ever see the episode of Star Trek 2nd gen when the entire enterprise got addicted to a game?
We used to limit gaming access to our kids as well, my ex had an argument with our daughter at one point after telling her to get ready so they could go out, our daughter replied with there’s no need to go out, you can do it all online.
When I was at school, being grounded was punishment, now, it’s a pleasure for them

Aw ! It has a little V8 (y'know. Like a mustang :) ) and the pistons go up and down when you give it a push !
It really is pretty cool...

(This is an edit. The Bananarama! filter didnt like "P U S H ___ | T" (written normally). ?!?)

Edit2 - Ah ! I see it ! haha.
