A new class and a new set of rules!

Hi there.

After a great meeting at Santa Pod, we have been working on a rule set for not only the class but also the cars.

Luke Robinson is currently pulling together a simple table of what is required in terms of vehicle and personal safety by Elapsed Time so it will be easier to see what you need to do (or have) to meet the standards of a formal class and attend an MSA event.

In the meantime, here is the first Issue of the Rules, which will be reviewed on a yearly basis to fine tune them as we learn.

I hope there are no big disappointments or big surprises, we have tried to keep them as simple as possible whilst trying to keep the cars and the competition in the spirit of Old School Stock and Superstock racing!

Thanks to all who had input, it is appreciated.

Pete Wiseman.

Its a shame i never thought to mention or put foreward i have an original 1970 Hemi challenger superstocker here built out of the legendary Rod shop ohio it ran SS/DA back in the 70.s and early 80.s would have been ideal to look over and see what a proper superstocker was allowed, i gather the rossi car was built by the rod shop to it ran SS/FA i think, it is very similar in the ass to mine,

Note before the rivet people shout up its not an original hemi car but is an original superstocker car,,

That was brought in by Santa Pod as there was a risk a slower car could get hit by a rapid one closing in fast - there would be a big disparity of speed between a 16 second car and a 9 second one...
