WOW, What a weekend with Mopar once again dominating and Stuart 'Kiwi' Thompson taking top honours this time in the Arlen Akron tribute Duster, beating the Williams Brothers Racing supported Ch*vy of Guy King in the final.

Special mentions once again to both Dave B who guided the Challenger into a Mopar dominated top six along with Jake Cawthorne in the 408 small block '63 Dart "flag Jumper"

ALSO, all the Mopar contenders featuring Billadeau built engines. Thanks Dave.

And well done to EVERYONE in the massive 48!!!! car field

Roll on the Mopar Nats.

The motor burned a Bearing in Q3 and was losing Oil pressure so I retired the car.

I have another Hemi (as you do) but that is not ready to install as I have found faults with the original build (not me).

The 580ci Hemi in the car will need removing, full strip, investigation, new parts ordered, machining as necessary, and then a full build and installation.

All that is not going to happen before the Nats (or any other race in this calendar year...')

That’s a Bananarama! Pete, I assume you don’t know the reason for the starvation till it’s stripped down

Parts are becoming a real Bananarama! to obtain at the moment. Hope you get it sorted soon

That’s why I won’t run mine till the oil pressure is sorted, I only have 50psi on cold at idle, I was expecting 90psi. Hopefully new pressure section will turn up some time this year…

I don't blame you at the cost of that engine.

Mine was costly enough and was making 40 psi HOT at idle but only 55psi at 3000rpm HOT.
The pressure was slowly dropping at idle, so I was not prepared to risk it.

I do not think it is starvation, just a big internal oil leak via damaged Shell bearings.

Top end on both banks was super clean, but I stripped the System One Filter and there was quite a bit of Fool's Gold in there, and it clearly was not going to fix itself.....

Sadly, the only fix is to remove the engine and strip...... that is my season done after 2 races... I won't be able to turn the motor around in time for the subsequent meetings so there is no point beating yourself up.

Do it once, do it right....
