steering problem

got the fury out today to give it a run but now have a problem with the power steering when I turn right its fine but when I turn left its almost impossible as if its manual steering
just wondering if anyone has any ideas/solutions :roll: :roll:

Assuming nothing is binding obviously, then one thought is the balance-valve-housing on the steering box.
I came across this last year when I had my steering box rebuilt - when I cheerfully bolted it in and went to use it the steering threw itself one day and was set in concrete the other. It was all due to the adjustable valve housing.
Now I dont know why yours would have moved, but its easy to have a look and see if it has - and it could easily produce the symptom you are seeing.

This thing - Look for signs it has moved fore/aft. Its the *tiniest* adjustment for wild results, so if its moved 1mm you'll know about it.

many thanks for the advice morgan its all sorted now despite a little faux par on my behalf cracked the bolts with the engine running a little oil makes a big mess lol but all is good now cheers graham
