73 Charger Front subframe mounts/bushes

Post by RAGNAR »

Has anyone got any good links for replacement front subframe bushes? Mine resemble swiss cheese & the car wallows in corners worse than any yank I’ve ever owned! :o

Thanks for the links Scotty,

Unfortunately I can’t get the first one to open properly. I’ve tried on my phone & pc. Is it the body mounts that I need?

Yes you need those and the torsion bar crossmember bushes to sort out the front mounts. The back axle it also on horrible rubber insulators for added slop....

Yes that's the one's :thumbright: I'd replace the torsion bar Xmbr bushes as well.

Firmfeel do the option of a solid alloy mount.

As Blue says the rear leaf springs are encased in rubber as well, have a look here.

When I did some work on a mates '73 years ago, we replaced all the front insulators with ally spacers and I modded the rear to get shot of the insulators on the axle.

That's the route I've gone down as I had to replace my rear springs anyway. I've got the poly bushes for K frame and torsion xmbr.
