😯 We think it’s one of those seal your leaks in a bottle cure alls. Anyone seen anything like this before? It’s rock hard too.

Never seen anything like that  Most of those stop leak things just soften and swell seals, wonder if the stuff has reacted with one of those flushing oils?

Looked like the same plastic type stuff they use on guides and slippers but it’s a Timing belt motor.

One of my mot customers saw it and said he had seen similar stuff around some journals in an engine he’d stripped down,he thought it was cure in a bottle stuff in that as the engine had a lot of internal wear. Ours had a bad leak so it’s only by supposition.

That head gasket seal in a bottle can go hard too,we stripped a head last year where many of the water galleries were block with the stuff.
