Took the car out today for a shake down after rebuilding MSD distributor
When I came back fuel leak from the tank breather on drivers rear when I removed the fuel cap it nearly blew off with so much pressure and the tank made a loud pop .
What's the best way to bypass the breather tank system - it has four vent pipes that exit on the drivers side of the tank?
Then maybe drill a small hole in the cap??

Re: Pressurised fuel tank
I had similar on the Barracuda and I drilled a small hole in the cap....seemed to fix the problem, worth a try...

Yeah I thought that, I will try it!!
Any idea on blanking the four pipes coming from the tank - its a bit rusty and when pressurised I could hear it hissing so has a hole ?

Re: Pressurised fuel tank
I cannot comment on that, mine did not have any of that equipment as it was stripped out with AN lines...

You can also get pressure vented caps.....they were fitted standard in some years
