UJ sizing info?

Post by MilesnMiles »

I need two new UJS for my Roadrunner.
They measure just over 3.5" wide from edge to edge and run on a 489 diff. Are these the 'large' UJS?
Need two in a hurry

These are some basic dimensions:

Regular joints are 2 sizes - small = 7260, and large = 7290.

You can buy these:

2 1/8" x 2 5/8" COMBINATION U JOINT 7260 x 7290 so at least it gives you a guide.

You need to pull the prop and accurately measure the UJ span and bearing cap diameter to Identify it, it should be either 7260 or 7290, although I have come across some right oddball combos before.

Thanks chaps, one of the guys has stepped up to help. Mine are 92mm square. In the past I've ordered one of those combination joints that allows small. To big etc.. From Hausers.

This tells you how to measure the UJ to identify what you have.
