Holy kickdown servo, Batman!

Post by Phoenix »

Finally getting around to refreshing the big block 727 gearbox from my '70 Charger that was found sitting in the desert behind a transmission shop in Nevada and I'm glad I bought a comprehensive overhaul kit, because the internals are COOKED!

That being said, can anybody shed some light on where I can buy a new kickdown servo piston?

Mine appears to be not suitable for operation, so any help finding one a bit sharpish would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Wow, I don't know much about trans internals but that does not look good.

Blue may well be able to help.

A good dose of detergent and a full strip down has everything looking a lot better, but no amount of cleaning is gonna remedy the broken piston. I just hope someone in the UK has a spare one as I want to get the box back together as soon as possible

Managed to sort a kickdown servo piston out from someone in the UK so the rebuild will continue!
