Bench seat was flat as well, just a little wider on the baseplate, but no change in height or offset

I’ll see if I can get you a decent photo of mine, they sit inside of the hump as I recall.

You’re welcome to come and have a look at the Barracuda if it helps. Not sure if it will, being RHD. :-k

and if at HRDs come and have a poke about on mine....you may have 3 A bodies to look at.

mine has 1967 A body automatic tunnel and floor pan. they did nothing special for RHD other than cater for a bigger bellhousing in the tunnel with a big hammer and a blind man with a welder

mine has same set up regarding z shaped mountings as Blues...

just wondered if both offset left or both right (assumed you had 4) gave you better placmenet for holes that might need to be drilled.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies and offers. I've ordered a load of metal plate in different sizes and lengths for both sides.

This will strengthen the floor on the tunnel side and should allow me to offset the seat. This is next weekends task, so I will post up progress or not.. 🤣

If I can get it done and the forecast looks good, I will try and get to the HRDs and run the car. 🙏

Blue, if your mounts are inside the hump, then I can see that's what I'll need to do to center the seat. Thanks. 👍

I spotted the factory dimples today for the buckets....I needed the Z bar, which I haven't got.

So ordered a lot of steel plate in various measured sizes and set about relocating the seat 60mm towards the transmission tunnel.

Went for a test drive.....much better albeit a bit lower than when i had the bench. Feels good though. Will do the passenger side when I can be bothered, it only the two strengthening plates to do on that.

Thanks for all the help. 👍

Went down to Bridgenorth Shell garage, grabbed some V power and back.....did think about it but already used all my time allowance from the family. Said I'd finish at 3pm......was at the garage at 5pm. 😱
Looked at the weather for next week and booked the HRDs for Friday and Saturday.
Bring it on......😎
