front wheel settings

Post by Anonymous »

I have found a place to align all the things mentioned in recent posts about the front wheel geometrey - castor/camber etc.
anyway i have a factory manual but you lot think the specs are pants, so, can anyone give me the specs that are best so I have something to go along with for them to set up too (they are subaru specialists and had never heard of a charger!)
cheers

Roger just sorted mine out, and the car is a different beast now....

Goes in a straight line, turns when I point it, its a real joy. Totally transformed.

I am sure he would tell you the settings used (I too have the factory manual, and they were not the same. The manual is not very informative)

Its difficult to be specific, but somewhere in the order of 0.5 to 1 degree neg camber and as much castor as poss. Toe is quoted at 1/8th inch and seems to work OK.

If they cant work with or understand that, go somewhere else! If you run different wheels, tyre profiles etc, the settings may need to be revised.

That should be fine, its only if you go for larger wheels and low profile tyres it changes.
