Hmmmm, so 11.5" without any of those doesn't look promising then...

I used to think people would wonder how I got 295s on the car, with room to spare, on an otherwise stock looking Challenger.

No one does. They just think they must bolt on no problem.

But they do, don't they Dave? Isn't that the answer to one of the perennial Qs? Or have you been sitting there for years waiting for some one to ask you how you managed to get that much rubber under the arches of your cool Chally (plus howay you got them slicks doon he-are wit oot back oop, moon!)
Tell me, Chap! 8-)

You may mock but if you knew the hours I put in before ordering the tyres and then, when I was sure of the backspacing, the wheels.

Both front and back remember. You are not supposed to be able to get 245s on 8x15 wheels on the front either.

Got 10" wide rims on the Pit , with 3 3/4 back spaceing , also got 11.5 hoosiers on em. (about 13" width overall)

I think the Caltracs help though, as they raise the rear about an 1" , also you can preload em , so the tyres don't hit the inner arches when goin over a bump.

295's on mine and 10 inch slicks no prob, rolled the lip and inboard spring kit as Dave said...job done.
Wheels are 10 x 15 with 5 inch back spacing for street and slicks
A dont rub even with a full tank of gas , camping kit and 3 blokes in it...S/S springs help loads in all respects
ALL KILLER NO FILLER
Nostalgia, its not what it used to be.
