Post by andyrob »

This has probably been asked a hundered times before, but am after an advice on trying to polish the centreline wheels on big red n loud.

My local wheels refinishers dont polish wheels any more, any where else to try ?

Have done them by hand with autosolve but was lots of work & doesnt look that good & cannot get do around the rivets very well- was thinking of using dremmel ?

You will be better off using a larger power drill Andy not a weedy little dremmel. You can buy polishing mops and arbours / spindles to use in a drill chuck. As your wheels have a satin finnish best to use very fine wet n dry first to smooth them down. I have polished lots of engine parts by hand then finished them off with a drill but it's hard graft.

When our Centerline Autodrags (spun ally finish) were new-ish, we used an EagleOne product made for that type of ally wheel, and it worked a treat - just spray on, leave a few mins (but not much more) and hose off.

I think it's this one

But they do a more aggressive one too

Not sure who sells it over here, but the website says Valvoline are the UK dealers :?

I'm sure Foxhunters tyre services still do wheel polishing - they send them away to get done, not too sure on price though
