I had a bit of bad luck in the engine side of things, but I'm over it now with only the new motor to put in and start up. Believe it or not this is engine block number 6
![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_shocked.gif)
The first (383) engine I bought was ruined. The second 383 block was OK but the area around the crank was overheated, looked like it had been run with no oil, so it was decided to move on. Ironically with hindsight, this may have been the one to use

Then a 440 block was purchased, which was cheap but bored .065 over. Next were two 440's with severe corrosion. Finally, a sixth (440) block was OK! Let the build commence!
Then the economy problems in the US bit, with seemingly the last set of piston rings in the USA being argued over before being shipped over. I hope those that know me read this and understand why I've been out of the game for so long (well it seems like a long time!)
This week, I got the call I wanted - it was ready! The new 440 looks the nutz, now to get it in and get it going
![:woohoo: :woohoo:](./images/smilies/woohoo.gif)
I'll post some more details about the motor as I get em, suffice to say it was built by an engine builder who offered to locate the block, as by this time I'd given up on finding anything decent.
Pics before you all get bored - I'll see you in the summer!
