My guess is early Mopar probably a 392 Hemi...I await to be shot down in flames.

By the way Steve, you still haven't bought a camera then? ;)

offset dog drive rather than a cog. can't see if the shaft sticks out lower then the end of the drive (if it does then the rest of what i say is wrong)
can't see how many plug wires either 4 6 or 8 ?

if those two lumps on the drive are offset ever so slightly to favour 1 half of the circle over the other its for a flat 4 or 6 VW derived engine. offset so you can't get your dizzy in 180 out

probably a specialist part for VW aircooled engine for use when its in a light aircraft. means you can delete the standard dynamo and fan and massive shroud which aint relevant up in the sky it saps about 25% of the available power output and would make for a less than streamlined nose on ya plane

or going Ol skool drag racing although most used vertex magneto for that and then suffered because the brass drive cog on the crank wasn't up to the job when pushing round a weighty magentic generator.

usually usless for street driving as no provision for vaccum advance
ok for WOT work hnce planes drag racing and industrial pumps and gennies

I'm probably wrong

Okay mate,

Some of my "vintage" mates may be able to help with that...it'll probably turn out to be off a LeMans replica Frazer-Nash!
