If the same as original then the engine (if that is what you are asking about) was a Keith Black built de-stroked 340 (to bring it down to a race legal 305 max inches) making 450hp. It was clocked at 160mph in testing. It ran a single 4bbl carb. But it was not that trick really.NaughtyAlan wrote:Would love to do this, not under the title, mentioned. I don't know what suspension and brake upgrades were made. But there was a lot of work done on the car to make it lighter.

They had to use stock heads and block in that racing series so I suspect they couldn't do a lot with the suspension except uprate the stock type system?
A typical full competition set up with stock type suspension would have front spring rates over 300lbs/in and massive 450lbs/in sway bar. The rear would not have to be so highly rated. 130lbs springs with adjustable sway bar.
But what was actually done to these Trams Am cars i don't know.
