Model Kit (rant)

Well, sort of rant.

My second line if you like, is buying & selling of model kits (unmade).

Occasionally I like to re-live my youth & build a model from the past, in this case Monograms 55 Chevy 'Badman' . Got a couple of original issues in the for sale collection, but looked on Ebay for a modern issue to build, bought. paid & arrived, but Holy Jesus....boxed as Monogram but made in China! So Monogram have had their kit toolings shipped out to China, then produced, shipped back to the States then shipped to the UK.

I mean Monogram, FFS, as about as American as Airfix is to the UK (& yes they out source to the far East too)

FFS stop whining and build it and show us it

I love old plastic kits Mike, when I'm down in a bit I'll call in and check out yer stash.
I got a load if unmade large scale (1/8th) monogram in the loft

Spent my entire childhood learning all about US tin thru 1/24th Monogram, AMT, Revell etc

Me and Mike were playing with my late 70s box of 'customised' cars yesterday.
Roadruner, 300 Chrysler, 55 Nomad etc. I'll try to get pics up or Mike can.

Monogram was always my fave though

I used to love building Model Kits

Maybe we could have a forum section dedicated to building model cars and maybe run a best build compertition.
