Production Eliminator in UK

Post by Les Szabo »

This is the closest thing we had to NHRA Stock Class racing here in the UK, or are likely to have?........March 1984, Richard Eaton was the King at it.

thats the one m8...couldn't get it to work...cheers :thumbright:

mind you, I don't know how a 13.03 equates to a 113mph run as stated, I know those "cheetah" cams come on strong at the top end but not that much!!, 113mph is like a 12.00...think they got that wrong....reckon that was deffo 103mph.

Reckon they could bring that back, that would work.

That was a 383 Les, the same engine went into the quick draw Duster and ran 10.4 with a .557 cam but it was very light and the heads were worked.

Didn't Greg whatever his name was, from Enfield with the Mustang hold the MPH record for that class? I believe since the class no longer exists it still stands...

I was a red '69 351 with centrelines, looked almost a ringer for the one Graham Barrs had at the time.
