Yep knew him and the car….. He was an ass. And yes, Daddy paid for all of that! I remember my cousin knocking him out with just one punch! He was a cocky little git!

I've always had an interest in a wide range of stuff, not particularly american, but whenever I saw a Yank I liked and went for a closer look, I recon 80 % of the time it would end up having Dodge or Plymouth on the badge. Just something about the styling, particularly the 64 to 67 models especially the rooflines on the 2dr hardtops, but also on in to the early 70's.

And of course there were all the previously mentioned films and TV stuff, not forgetting the black 65 Belvedere at the beginning of 'Hot Rod'!

Pinches the girl from the sherriff's Son, yeah. Rolls the Belvedere running from the cops and ends up with a primered Willys, a classic!

I have a copy, happy to run you one off if you PM your address, quality won't be great, but should be watchable.

What got me into Mopars? Well it was a laydeee! Back in the very early 80's I was seeing a bird very near to where Matt H lives, she was into American cars & bikes, I had a Harley at the time & had just sold my Jag so was looking for a another new ride, she took me to see a friend of hers who was an American car dealer in Redbourn, he'd just got a '72 Challenger in & it was mine for the princely sum of £1795. Had that for a few years then started messing about buying & selling a few yanks just most of them seemed to be Mopars, some even had extra doors! Here is a list of the Mopars I can remember
72 Challenger Rallye (now Matt H's)
73 Dart Swinger
74 Dart Special Edition (4door)
76 Dodge Aspen 360 R/T
71 Plymouth Roadrunner 383 4speed
72 Dart
69 Fury 111
69 Dodge Dart 340 GTS (now Mick's)
70 Dodge D100
64 Plymouth Valiant Cygnet (now Dave Bailey's)
72 Dodge Demon 340
72 Dodge Demon /6 (fitted with BB & back halved, now mine again!)
80 Dodge Diplomat S/wagon
78 Dodge Ram 200
74 Dodge Ramcharger
2000 Dodge Dakota
I'm sure there are a few more + almost as many non Mopar's, it's a form of addiction, as Blue said I guess I'm in for the long haul too!
You can't have too much power, only a lack of traction!
