The rear was all changed when the 8.75 went in (before I got the car), so it has the proper studs and nuts (as RH thread) but the front is the original 9", I think, drum from the factory.

I am looking for disc conversion, which will be done when founds allow.

But for now just change the studs and nuts so no more problem in future.

;) ;)

My barracuda had a mix of left and right handed studs on each of the left side wheels.
That was interesting getting the wheels off....

Can any one advise on how to take the studs out?

It is a 9" drum and they have been there since 1968!!!

Do I need a special tool?

Thanks.

Remove front hub assy, seperate hub from drum, support hub around the stud in the open jaws of a vise, apply hammer to stud....

So I thought right the hub and drum is able to separate.

Well I best get some WD40 on it, thanks Blue.

Sometimes the drum is tight to remove. Holding the whole assembly stud side up and square to the floor, then dropping it from about 3 ft will seperate it, provided it doesn't hit the floor at an angle it won't get damaged. This is an old trick I've used many times over the years, it usually works.
