My First post and my New Car
Hi Everyone . This is my 1968 Dodge Charger 440 R/T just collected this week from Felixstowe after arriving from Salt Lake City Utah.
Has'nt run for 25 years I was told . Needs a trunk floor and rear quarter repairs /replacement . Quite a bit missing mechanically but although it looks tatty it's not too bad ! The interior needs some front seat covers / foams . Dash top, carpets and headlining , everything else is pretty nice inside .No rust to the front end or sills or chassis rails ,just a few dings here and there . It's a Genuine R/T on drum brakes and there is even a Carpenters tape in the 8 track !!
Just getting my head around what needs doing so I'm sure there will be a lot of questions to ask .
I've restored lots of cars before but this is a Boyhood Dream !!
Looks like a great project!
Bet you can't wait to get stuck in...........what else have you restored (always good to hear of people saving cars)?
Get yourself a workshop thread going when you have a chance........
Welcome aboard the Mopar financial ruin train.......

This was my last restoration bought for £258 ! A lot of work later with a Rover 3.9 V8 Holley 390 ,Offenhauser manifold , Lt77 5 speed gearbox etc
I sold it in December to finance the Dodge . It's been in Classic Ford Magazine as a feature car which was nice .
I have done 3 Mk2 2 door Escorts for my sons in the last 5 years and before that I restored a 1965 Mustang Coupe and a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible

68 Charger
Hi mate, what's to restore? That Charger looks spot on
Glad to hear of another '68 in West Sussex, I've got a few spares, not mint, but may be of use to you.
Good luck with it, my advice for what its worth is get it on the road and rag it...!!!
