Another summer almost done.
Well as I am still in the UK, not sure how much summer will be left when I return home. It is 40 degrees there at the mo so I hear. Anyway plan is, to drive it till it gets too cold, take it to my new shop / studio. Pull /6 and drop in SB. And trans, together with stronger rear end. Then I think I have decided to paint it black. With some flake accents. Thinking about putting an earlier front end on it to "pretty it up".
Then sit back, and wait for next summer.

I am keeping this Mopar....... SOLD!
Back home in Canada now, not a minute too soon. I could never live in the UK again. I hope I never have to. I don't know if I have changed or if the UK has changed. Perhaps a bit of both?
It is overcrowded, overpriced, dirty, people in the street seem disgruntled and unhelpful.
It was lovely hitting border control in Toronto, being greeted with a smile and told "Welcome home".
anyway, now just looking at the car....... And thinking. Off to the shop this afternoon to start the big move.

Kinda sums it up well Jeff. Have to say it's not everyone in the UK, but the majority have become so intrinsic and selfish that most people would walk by a person in need than help or assist.Jeff wrote:

From everything I've read and people I've spoken to, I don't Believe there are many nicer, friendlier with a better quality of life places than Canada............ Nope, not jealous at all......

Have to agree with you there Jeff. Norway is the same. I think when you move to a much nicer country you notice how sheet the UK really is. I found it huge culture shock at seeing City Centers and even towns the way they are.
We have mostly moved back to Scotland now but could not move back to living in a town. We have a house in the country and love it. I still have my house in Norway and I love living here.

you've been in London
its not representative of the whole country at all
mind most people I know seem happy to be out of recession, the job market has opened right up again, and they are enjoying 0.5 interest on their mortgages.
still some positives
unlikely to be shot by your classmates or the police
unlikely to be killed by the weather
unlikely to be burned gassed by earthquake/volcano
free health care
football on a Saturday roast beef on Sunday
Mine's a light and bitter
