Mopar owner have it easy!

Post by Jeff »

$115,000 for this! And someone has screwed with it. Billy has to bring it back to stock! It is a Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider chassis.

You have to hand it to those cost cutting Italians - they've incorporated the rear chassis rails and the exhaust tailpipes into one convenient unit

British Military were just as bad post war with the Austin Champ,5 speed box with separate forward/reverse box, thing could do 70 backwards.

How much is wrong on the 250 chassis? I don't have one here to compare

It's probably that Mustang 2 front clip and the back axle looks like it came off something agricultural....

Back axle looks correct,as does the front, could be later Ferrari stuff though like they use on the replicas.

Story is..... Customer goes into shop. He has a chassis and a motor. Not sure how much motor was, chassis was $115,000. He wand them to do a total rebuild... There is no body, they have to start from scratch.

Now there were two models built, a LWB and a SWB..... 6 inches or so difference.... But this frame is 6 inches shorter than a SWB! So who know what went on before somewhere?

Just heard from Billy, it is now the correct length for the SWB car... I think this one will be the main car on the next series of restoration garage, look out for it, and Billy!

Oh, so you never got to see Joe on tv? He was not in it much to be honest.
The next series should be interesting. The top fabricator is no longer there. In fact, there is not a fabricator there at all! Billy is doing some fab work, but is having to teach himself!

No jeff, I've been keeping an eye out in case they start showing any subsequent series.... sorry, seasons  but they always seem to be repeats of episodes I've seen before from when it was first on a couple of years ago.
