Sheet metal source

Post by Coupe66 »

Hi All,

Has anybody recently bought any patch panels/sheet metal, if so where did you source them from. Looked at Summit and Rockauto - Jesus, second mortgage time with the shipping.

Buy it in the states and get Ron Fenton, (on here) to put it in one of his containers.

AMD have the best reputation unless you find some used one in decent shape

You always will pay shedloads to bring a panel from the states I'm afraid

Have you asked on the board to see if anyone has any?

I got my "AMD" front valence through Jegs, free shipping to Ron Fenton's place in Florida then I picked it up over here but he will ship on to you once in the UK.

Try making them... its great fun and very rewarding. Take your time and find someone with a bead roller to put the correct beads in. I did it on a 66 Fury I had

Bought mine via Mark at WASP, would have used Ron but I have stuff coming from various sources some of it on back order and I thought it could turn into a logistical nightmare.

I'm an amateur compared to most on here. Blue very kindly gave me some welding kit and I got on with it. Very satisfying and not difficult if you just have a go at it
