I have bought cars on the strength of a throwaway conversation and had a result.
A couple of years ago I bought a Scimitar that was described as unroadworthy for a few hundred sight unseen, when I got it back to the garage it was only a clean and an mot away from a slightly higher price.

Re: A tall tale?
Wow,
Incredible story, how someone could leave that untouched for so long, I know we all live busy lives but it seems like it was just forgotten about?
Oh and I like a restored car like a lot of us, but I reckon it should largely stay as it is, surely can’t be another.
Although look at the bullet mustang and the attention that has received, unrestored.
Thanks for sharing blue.

Re: A tall tale?
Thanks blue , been waiting to see the pictures of this car , amazing
Re: A tall tale?
Great story and thank you Blue for the facts, as you know it.
How could anyone forget about something like this, specially with all the stories of Cudas going for such huge money in auctions.
I bet the original owner's family are well sad now.

Dunc, the dead guy wasn't into cars, the guy that found it has no interest in American cars and the people trying to buy it, well lets not go there..
The ford battery was just something they'd chucked on to try and start it when it was found, as you do with a Hemi that's sat around for years

Re: A tall tale?
Great story. Top integrity from Blue. I can imagine the 'take it off your hands mate' offers. Out of interest, if they had no interest, how did they twig that it was significantly more special than the "£5k to take it off yer hands mate" offers would have suggested. I mean if you dont know, you dont know - and they dont LOOK anything special to the untrained eye do they ? Who twigged that it was more than just-another-old-yank ?

Re: A tall tale?
Sounds like someone stored it in the barn and for whatever reason never got back to it. Especially as the farmer wasn't into cars.
