Re: 64 Plymouth Belvedere post car
Exactly as Blue says, I have the same plan for my '64.
If you can, incorporate a poly mount for the trans, I am going to change for the more modern Spool type if at all possible..

That's the spirit, get the car finished and have some more fun!!
You are a bit of a magpie on the quiet, aren't you??
(Never mind what the VIN and Fender Plate says!!!!)
It will be great to see the car out and at the track.

Re: 64 Plymouth Belvedere post car
Bit more progress today ,not as pretty as willwood but half the price … easy to fit although do they work ???but they are on and the rims fit ...waiting on the 29 inch front runners and that's about it for the front besides some torqueing and split pins …..not sure how to set the front end up from scratch ,,,suck it and see I guess

Re: 64 Plymouth Belvedere post car
Moving on to the transmission member ,,,one on the right is the one the car came with and the tf727 is a 1969 box ..The one on the left is an original 1964 auto box member which will require a fancy mount to adapt the later box to the earlier member ...I will do some googling first but I know Mancinis do a mount that does the job …..its a journey of discovery

Where are you mounting the engine, Pete?
In the '64 position or the later '68 onwards position??

Re: 64 Plymouth Belvedere post car
this why I need to get the engine and box mocked up in the car ,as I don't plan on using a motor plate but I do plan on having a set of stock engine mounts copied to solid mounts if that makes sense ...trying to make the engine bay look as stock as possible with stock radiator etc ...its the next problem to be solved Pete...if the worse comes to the worse I will reuse the member it came with
