Old Skool chain torque strap! Gonna weld the mounts? Did them on the Val and didn't make much difference to vibration.

yep, i swapped solid steel for the rubber mounts on the 440 i had in my old 65 dart. the fendewell headers were hitting the edges of the holes in the inner wings with the flex (i cut the holes deliberately small for neatness). vibration levels were just fine, no buzziness to worry about. :thumbright:

Wow, Blue!

I do love the Barracuda. My neighbour who loves to show up and help out (whenever I’m out on the charger) is wonderfully nostalgic and has a ton of stories of he’s old barracuda, catches me with a dozen photographs of he’s hay day (usually when I’m deep in the middle of an issue with the 10mm spanner missing 😂) and has inspired my admiration for these cars. A real Mopar, raw and wonderful!

This thread is awesome mate, really appreciate your work. Makes me realise how much I still have to learn. It’s seems this journey is never ending…. Hope to see it in person one day. Beautiful car!
