Only the pushrods to purchase and all the elements of the build will be ready to install. It's been a slow one but it's coming together nicely. 8-)

Looking good Dave, you did well to get hold of an Air gap, they are made of unobtainium right now.

Well the last parts turned up just over a week ago (thankfully).
I believe I have everything I need to get the new motor installed, which is great as its being dropped off at the end of this week for the install.

It will be with Jim Smith for at least a week getting installed and the cam broken in, so should hopefully be back home early July so i can get some miles on it prior to the NATS.

Other things being done over the new engine:
  • Engine bay being painted.
  • New AFR gauge being installed.
  • Upgrade (or downgrading dependent on opinion) to a later style brake master cylinder without the booster, so manual brakes
  • Anti-Roll being installed.
  • Schumacher torque strap.
  • Prop loop being installed.
  • All original Mopar control gubbins being replaced with MSD stuff.
  • Back to electric fan, but better quality unit and uprated CFM.

The motor is back in, broken in and now at home.
To date 4 heat cycles and 30 miles on it.
Thankfully the converter is okay on the street (biggest concern).
Biggest change is the sound and the fact the whole car feels alive at idle.

Not given it too much yet, as being mechanically sympathetic to everything being new and bedding in.

Happy is an understatement and a big thanks goes to Jim Smith for building it for me (time, knowledge and a 4 post lift).
Three years in the making and worth the wait!
