I always upload photos from my laptop, or from a hard drive attached to my laptop, and just browse for the files thru Windows Explorer as per usual practice.
And I haven't had any problems attaching large files - it automatically reduces them when they get attached... as far as I know
I certainly don't get any warnings that files are too large.

How do you post a picture when the photo is located on Laptop/iPad and is not on a hosting site ?

oh missed this

you write your message like this one
then you scroll the page down and see the
[OPTIONS] and[ATTACHMENT] tabs below

choose ATTACHMENTS

click add files
navigate to your picture on your PC or device
click on it
fill in file comment
and click submit

thus

if not PM admin, sounds like your account has not got the priviledge necessary to se that tab, which would be really odd... but not impossible. I think Martin (tyrefryer) checks in once a week or so he will be able to fix it i would think

i might have a bit extra cos i can moderate in the aussie section... but you should have more than you highlight...

can put up pictures and documents once you have it, provided the file isn't HUGE for example a 250MB workshop manual is too big
