Amazon.com

Post by morgan »

Not sure if this is already well known - but recently I made a chance discovery.

As someone who has bought a LOT of parts recently it’s always the dreaded VAT + shipping + handling + duty that makes it hurt. I have had some where it’s doubled the price-to-me easily.

I have discovered that I can order stuff through Amazon.com and it falls into their ‘global shipping programme’ ( whatever the heck tax arrangement that is)

The net result is that I pay shipping - that’s it.

It arrives in about 4 days - I pay the price on the site plus regular shipping.
Example - header gaskets - $80 + $11 shipping.- boom - arrives at my door 4 days later.

Don’t know how they are doing it - but it’s great.

I’ve ordered several things from Amazon US and they have qualified for free shipping. :thumbright:
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…
