Rear end lube

Post by gmopar59 »

Hi all, can you tell me what lube I need to replace what is in the rear end. 8/34 sure grip. Bog standard ratio. Something I can get locally is possible, europarts or similar. And yes, I am of that age. Loads!

You should be able to find something cheaper, Topspeed charge crazy money for stuff usually. Chris at Goodale speed shop is a Lucas stockist and has very keen prices, he’ll happily send you something suitable.

Sorry Gents, wasnt clear my end, I didnt mean get that one from that supplier, I just used it as an example and if you are like me, shop around to save a couple of quid here and there. My mistake 🙄. I use lots of Lucas stuff too and have never had any complaints at all :thumbright:

Thanks guys, Blue; top speed don't ship to ni. Becoming a bit of a pain. We couldn''t even get conduit for work for a while through usual suppliers. Steve, if you are the guy who relocated to Scotland, Samantha fish is touring and in Edinburgh in march. Love this American blues player. Never seen her live though.

Yeah, I moved back but Edinburgh is a 300 mile round trip for me. Thanks for the recommendation but there are very few concerts I would go to now. Unfortunately, hoards of people videoing on phones and uploading the same thing to Faceache while Im trying to enjoy being in the moment (and shouting down the phone to tell people not there how great it is and how the really should go on social media to watch it) have completely ruined the experience for me. It just winds me up!

I didn’t realise there was an issue shipping to Northern Ireland, what’s the problem, is it a Brexit thing?

Thanks all, I'll check out Lucas. Yeah, it's the Belfast agreement. Too much paperwork/forms to fill. Not worth the effort if it's a small order.
