sharpandroids 70 Dart

Post by sharpandroid »

I bought a 70 Dart 318, 904, 7.25 rear.

I've done more miles in it in two weeks than it did in the last three years.
Started a new job also, that's why I haven't been on here much.

I've had a good look round it and am happy with what I see up to now.

Went to melbourne to see the Drags, met some Mopar people, Dave Billadeau, Craig Elliot, there was a good few of them there so I just jumped in and got chatting.

I got four small stud 15x8's off DaveB, went over to his and tried one on, 4.5" backspacing, I'll put a couple of them on the rear with 245/60R14 Coopers, and I'll leave the 14's on the front.

Getting them all done satin black.

I don't like the large caps, will probably get some small ones.

I'm not too keen on the arch trims either, so they're coming off.

anything you take (arch trims?) off do so carefully as there could be someone here restoring a similar car that needs it/them. :thumbright:

they were fitted by the previous owner, so not originals but I will keep everything that I change, it's possible i might want them back on....

Really pleased that you have found a great car to make your own and enjoy. I actually like the trim as the car is but agree that with bigger blacked out wheels with dog dishes it would probably look better without them. Just my opinion, I don't have a clue really about anything non standard / original :D :D
