These were quite good but never made it big.
Thanks for posting Tony.
Only my personal opinion (and I'm sure I'll get slaughtered here) but I think Satriani along with Eddie Van Halen are the best guitarists ever!
Of course other people will say that Page, Clapton, Gilmour, Hendrix and the rest were better but I strongly disagree. They were brilliant attheir time but arguably remembered for the riffs - not technical ability.
Is there any way in the World that Page could have ever played this?
Here's the latest release from Lynch Mob with Oni Logan back in vocal spot.
Thanks Jem, pretty good that!
Made me think back to the bands we were into in the early 80s.... Dokken, Riggs, Loverboy, Honeymoon Suite, Coney Hatch etc
Coney Hatch? there's a band I havent thought about for a while!
They are great Rob reminds me of Legs Diamond and almost AOR i bet most of you hate AOR?
Herte is a clasiic form Survivor, and its NOT eye of the Tiger
Thanks for mentioning Legs, Tony I was going to include them but got to draw the line somewhere! Got all their albums on vinyl and have been thinking of getting the cds for a while now but havent taken the plunge yet.
Not quite what I'd call AOR but I know what you mean. Bit early for 'hair metal' too
Here's a bit if you need reminding:
And in the same vein, another group we used to scour the import racks for were Canadian band Teaze. I think one of their members was later in Static X
Still ROCK but a slightly different, more traditional feel; anyone else into Foghat?
British band that hit it big in the States, mostly mid-to-late 70s. Their 'Live' album usually gets mentioned up there with the best live albums of all time.
Had tickets for them when they were due to play Hammersmith back in the old days but the tour got cancelled, so never saw them
Anyhoo, enuff waffle...
Classic line up
and
original singer not long before he left us
and finally
after the singer/guiarist had died, this one features ex-Ted Nugent singer/guitarist Charlie Huhn on vocals plus a couple other line up changes.
Still faithfull to the original version of the song tho

Cracking Rob - thanks!
Well wadda you know - I thought they were American.
Man I just love this thread! It's great to know there are a few of us guys who love this kinda stuff.
Not sure if I've posted before but here's another band who's debut album would definitely be in my top ten. They were tagged as a 'supergroup' at the time and was a massive departure from what Neal Schon was doing with Journey. And Johnny Gioelli has got a voice that was made for rock!
Apart from Hardline he also did most of the vocal work on Axel Rudi Pell's albums.
Schon left after the debut and the follow up album was very disappointing in comparison.
Anyway, it looks as though all that's changed now with their latest release which captures the vibe of the debut. Apart from Gioelli it's a totally different line-up now but good to see a chick in a rock band for a change.
This is them then and now and also a track from Mr Pell:

Blimey, don't know what happened there - managed to get it all mixed up in Rob's message??
Let's try again.
