They were £40 delivered Jeff.

Doug spent the day here yesterday to redo some of the areas we were unhappy with. The weather was kind to us 8-)

So it's nice in a perverse way to get the first damage done and out of the way...

I'd rigged a temporary fluorescent light, which the open trunk lid nudged as I pushed the car back in the garage.
From my viewpoint at the front of the car I car I watched in slow motion as it wobbled, then tipped up, slid down the trunk and stabbed the rear scuttle. It then fell across the car and slid down the side and hung from it's power lead, clonking against the freshly painted side.

Ya couldn't make it up

By some miracle, the scuttle was the only damage so I'm quite relieved! I've touched the scars in with a paintbrush and that's how they'll stay for now.

Well worth all the grief, looks a totally different car now, you should be proud of your efforts. My OCD would have me painting the moulded in trim on the front edge of the bonnet silver to line up visually with the rest of the grille....

Ha ha well spotted blue!
The proper trim does fit over that moulded edge, I'd forgotten to re-fit it
