Well I guess the scoop is a bit like Marmite, you either "Love it" or "Hate it", me I Love it.

Did some changes with fuel injection tonight, this fuel injection is all new to me, but boy what a great piece of kit. Plenty of learning I agree, but the trade off is well worth it.

Increased the fuel pressure to 45psi, added some more timing, took out some fuel on the start up, etc, etc. Motor really seemed to like it :) but the Dyno didn't

The dyno was unable to hold the motor & was slipping, I'm not used to Hemis so maybe its normal, but the torque the motor produces is unbelievable.

Even as low as 4,600rpm - 1047ft/lb's - 917 HP, @ 5,200rpm we were 1013ft/lb's - 1053 HP. But the brake on the dyno was unable to hold/slipped, so numbers went a bit screwy on the rest of the pull.

Motor coming off the dyno tomorrow for bottom end inspection, Rocker Gear inspection, oil change, etc. Motor will go back on again to check for leaks, etc. Then drained in preparation for shipping.

All being well, should ship in the next 2 weeks or so. I cant really push the shipping as a friend is doing it as a favour, so I have to be patient

Ivor, Yes a little dissapointed 8-)

Dunc, torques output was amazing, especially considering only running 1:1 Ratio on the Blower & relatively small Cam (0.650") Pulls were also done using regualr 93 Octane fuel.

The hard part will be trying to get a converter to match the engine & gettin my balls ready to put the foot down :D

Motor coming of the Dyno later today, so will post a few more pictures later on for those interested.

Also gonna watch a Mopar SB 410ci on the dyno, so will also try & get some footage.

Quite pleased tonight, managed to get some new rear lights for the Cuda & didn't even have to remortgage the house for once :D
Not exactly give away price, but didn't think US $125.00 was a bad price in this current day/market

Almost forgot, heres one of the new trunk lid, this is just put in place, only minor work required. If anyone is thinking of getting glass panels I can not recommend VFN high enough for their fine quality. Their Lead time could be improved, but I think worth the wait.

I have an old glass trunk if anyone is interested, its a lot heavier than the new trunk & has a few cracks in the gel coat, which with some work could be repaired.

Free to whoever wants to collect, please dont ask me to post as cant be bothered with the aggrevation.

If anyone wants photos I will take & post, then agáin it is free what more do you want !

Brian, I am informed it will be Ok for the MOT, it would be a problem if badly scratched or deemed to impair drivers vision.

I will probally make up 2 or 3 screens & change as required (sort of Disposable screens :D )
Wipers are obviously a killer, so will try not to use them when ever possible & rely on RainDance or similar

jerry wrote:they look great mark how did you get them to come up like that
Hi Jerry,
Just stripped them down, sneaked the lamps in the dishwasher when the wife popped out, as I do with all the small parts :D

Then nice little flat with some 400 grit & sprayed them with Hammerite silver. Think the photo makes them seem better than they actually are, but definitely a lot better than previously.

I wash plastic lenses or similar using good old fashioned Fairy liquid & warm water.(Do NOT Dishwash) Followed by some rigorous elbow grease, spit & polish with perspex cleaner. I don't have a brand name, used to get it from work. Comes in a Grey tin, has a light brown appearance almost like a liquid compound. I'm sure its available in Hardware or good motor accessory shops.

The worst job is masking things like the lens to paint the sides silver :P

Well I've been workin on the grill in between trips. A few months back I managed to source a repro 71 Cuda grill, but only recd it a 3-4 weeks ago.
For those of you who thought about getting one of these repros all I can say is DONT BOTHER, they are a pile of ..... faults being:
Overall width too small, Cheese Cutter openings to small, Cheese cutter locating holes approx 1/8"out of position, etc, etc

Which left me with no option to repair my old one, still the good thing about the repro grill was that I now had a donor to help repair the old one

I am not yet finished, but Pictures should tell the story
