I saw Ainsley Lister many years ago in a small venue on Tyneside. He was VERY good but what a rude arrogant little Bananarama! he was after the gig!Jon wrote:Saw robin trower with ainsley lister supporting last year

Yes, I remember your review from last time DaveDave wrote:Can't stand Robin Trower. Good guitarist yes. But endless introverted selfish pointless solos that go on forever and ever.
I was sat right in front of him once and spent the whole evening terrified his false teeth were going to fall into my lap he was gurning so much with every long note.![]()
The best bits were when someone actually got to sing some lyrics.
yeah he used to play down the local live music pub in preston when he was about 16...dont know if he was rude or not....never asked himDave wrote:I saw Ainsley Lister many years ago in a small venue on Tyneside. Bought his CD anyway because it was good stuff. Even if a lot of it was early AC/DC and Saxon rip off.
I would imagine they're all spareIvor wrote:Does anyone have any spare tickets for any of the Val Doonican "Chainsaw my bitch" tour dates?
I must admit these days I don't tend to stray into the mosh pit. When I was younger I would have taken a prize for highest number of stage dives during a gig but it all seems a bit too energetic now. I chill out further back where I can still see the band and get into the groove.Dave wrote:I was offered a couple of Metallica tickets a few weeks ago for face value. But decided against it even though I think they are great. I just feel too old to be squashed in with loads of young headbangers. I would probably just end up hitting people.
