Exactly.
JP used to be one of my fave live bands (still like them on cd) but we saw them a couple of years ago, when Rob Halford got back with them and they just didnt cut it

Prefered them when they had the JP tribute band singer a few years previous

I saw Ainsley Lister many years ago in a small venue on Tyneside. He was VERY good but what a rude arrogant little Bananarama! he was after the gig!
Bought his CD anyway because it was good stuff. Even if a lot of it was early AC/DC and Saxon rip off.

I was offered a couple of Metallica tickets a few weeks ago for face value. But decided against it even though I think they are great. I just feel too old to be squashed in with loads of young headbangers. I would probably just end up hitting people.

yeah he used to play down the local live music pub in preston when he was about 16...dont know if he was rude or not....never asked him

There wasn't a mosh pit that I noticed at metallica...maybe that was because of the setup they had with a 4 sided stage in the middle of the arena...
maybe the moshers were on the other side from where we were stood..

I must admit these days I don't tend to stray into the mosh pit. When I was younger I would have taken a prize for highest number of stage dives during a gig but it all seems a bit too energetic now. I chill out further back where I can still see the band and get into the groove.
