We saw a "Basic" 7 hammer a Ferrari 355 at the Pod.
Must have been a massive ego deflater for the man with the trophy blonde.
Nope, He still owns the Ferrari and bangs the trophy blonds most nights!

Awesome car.

But I'd rather something 2.0 and supercharged in there.

Save on the fuel. Be just as quick.

Mmm. Probably not a lot better on fuel. Not with the same performance. And reliability would suffer.

what about the twin bike engined jobbies?

What about them?

You make torque by burning fuel.

You make HP by making torque at high RPM. The higher the RPM you make torque at the more HP you have.

But the higher the RPM, the faster you are burning fuel.

At the end of the day there is no free lunch. The amount of power you make depends completely on how much fuel you burn.

The only "free" lunch is a turbo, as you are making use of energy you would have previously wasted.

However, they cost money and you still have to squirt more fuel in to support the compressed air............

The Barracuda used 7.5Litres of fuel per run. Any power added costs more.
