Sure those AC's were mid '70's, I remember my old mans mate trading a purple TR6 for a new one and it was on an 'M' plate I'm sure, would've been about '74 then.
Sweet looking car, loads better than a TVR Taimar, same engine tho

Just googled the AC, paulys spot on cos although it made its debut in 73 it didn't make proper mass production till 79
Some cars did slip thru but I doubt the one I was thinkin of was one of those.

If you are stuck on Ivor's teaser, you might find this one a little easier?

Said it was easier than yours!
Must have been a lot more of these around you way than mine Ivor. I have only ever seen two and one was rotten as pig swill.

Yep there was one around this neck of the wood for years, but disappeared recently, I think the Triumph underpinnings may have rotted and the body started to sink over the chassis, it always looked a bit saggy...bit like me really...

The yellow one is a Trident Venturer
The white one is a Bond Equipe 2 litre 6 cylinder, fibreglass bodied on Truimph Vitesse 2 litre chassis and mechanicals, and door shells, and bulkhead and floor.

Trident also made the Tycoon.
venturer was V6 ford, tycoon was Mopar I think.
For those who read my article on the Aviva Classic in 2010, there is a photo of a venturer in my write up
