Cheers for the encouragement guys
Allkiller,
If you know some one who wants the glass trunk (yr old one) they can have it for free, they just have to collect it.
Mo,
I couldnt get exactly the same orange dual filament bulbs (Could of sworn they had them) from my local shop.
But what I do have is a silver type dual filament bulb which is orange when alite. I have four if your interested, if not no problem.
P.S I did SMS you on the number you gave me, did you recieve messages

Been doin more work with the grill today, need to give it another coat of paint, then can fit all the shiny bits on
It will never win points with the concourse boys, but looks good from 10ft away. I'm still pleased though as its a 100 times better than what I started with
Now got the lovely job of finishing off the grill installation & making some bracketry so I can mount the headlights.
Some days I wish I had chosen an easier and less time consuming hobbey. (I dont even want to to about the money side

)

Well got grill temporarily fitted, still not sure how I will finally fit it, along with fabricating head light mounts, so thought I would leave it till I get my head round it.
Rear light lens I bought of ebay arrived this week, $125 + $35 Postage duty& what ever else they can charge. All in al I guess 80 quid not too bad by todays standards.
Also finally got my Gills back from my mate, only meant to take a couple of weeks to get chromed, suppose 3mths is close. Price you pay for not paying I guess
Today been working on a 71 Valance I got to take a mould off so I can fit indicators in lower front valance. I knew it had slight damage when I bought it, there description of slight is more like run over by a steam roller to me
Well after beatin all day, 1/2 tin of P38 & god knows how many sheets of 60 grit, its actually almost looks the right shape now. All being well, should be able to start taking a mould off next week.
After the grill, think I would of had enough of fibreglass.
Correct Scoop Finally arrived !

Well after nearly 2 & a bit months & nigh on 30 phone calls, finally got the injection scoop I originally ordered.
Quality is far superior than the last scoop, height is more respectable. Still got some idle issues, but think will have it sorted tomorrow.
I have never had a blower before, cant believe how much vacuum is created, even with the flaps closed it still draws in air at an alarming rate.
Tick over when left tonight was still at 2,500rpm........... or put another way around 500 hp
Oh yeah, changed the rocker covers again(3rd Set now & haven't even got it home yet) I think the black is a better contrast.
So all being well, will have ready & crated by Weds, then sort out flight, so maybe home by 25th. Down side is that I wont make the Nats though
Sorry about quality of photos, but only had phone camera with me.

I did some work yesterday on the injection butterflies before I left for home yesterday. The plan was they were going to try out on the dyno tonight to see if it helped/worked with the idle issues, but no news as of yet.
Realistically, because of the amount of air being pulled by the blower, I may have to under drive the blower & set up another fuel programme. Then I can always switch back pulleys for the track & download another programme.
The throttle is gonna be another story, from a ratio aspect, sensitivity & logistics. I may try & model something 1st to try to replicate as close as possible to what I need.
Don't get me wrong I love horses, but I don't want them all coming out the stables in the 1st 1/8" of throttle movement
Well all being well as they say & no issues, should be in my possession by Thurs/Friday next week, allowing for crating/Freight/Customs/organising pick up, etc.

Pete wrote:Way cool!
In the pictures it looks like the starter motor is on the same side as the distributor - is that just on the test rig "gearbox"??
Hi Pete,
you are spot on, starter motor is in opposite side & is for the dyno, will be located on standard side when installed

Motor arrived @ 1:30pm today, an 800lb's crate is not the easiest size piece to move around at home. Eventually got it out of the crate & managed to fit the wheels to the engine dolly so could at least manouver it around.
I always knew engine wouldn't be a simple swap with the old engine.
Had to modify the mid plate to clear Left Bank (2,4,6 & 8) cylinder head.
Need to reposition steering rack, as interferring with the bottom blower pulley (1/2")
Need to modify steering column due to the height difference, but thats pretty much it.
The good news is that the hood is a perfect fit around the blower, which has saved me purchasing another one.
I will try to upload photos later, as have a problem down loading, maybe try reducing size 1st

Thanks for the nice comments guys, still a long way to go & plonkin the engine in is the easy bit really. Realistically, can t see me hittin the road till September ish. If the weather is still good, should give me a couple of months to debug & have a play. Then pull it to bits over the winter, for some paint. Time & $$$$$$$$$'s permitting.
Maybe have a full debut at the Wheels day. I am bitterly disappointed about not making the Mopar Nats, but I was at the mercy of the guy making the Carbon fibre hat, which added roughly 2 months delay in shipping.
Not wishing to put a dampener on proceedings tho, but.... if you're planning to use it on the road, aren't there rules n regs about how high your bits n bobs can stick out above the hood?
RobTwin,
Not sure on the rules & regs with regard to the height rule, but am aware of covering moving parts like blower pulley. Guess it will also depend on how lenient the inspector is that day.
One question, have you every driven anything with a motor like that in before? What are you expecting time-wise?
Never had a blown Hemi in my life, went in a Willy's with blown big block Chevy 6 weeks ago. Yeah, he had me holding on the seat pretty tight.
Clivey,
Cuda was motivated with B1 Power previously, which didn't hang about I assure you. I will take it one step at a time & build myself up to a pace I am comfortable with. I never worry about what people think (except my own close circle of mates), such as should go faster, if that was mine, etc, etc.
You'll have to get out the crow scarer to keep the birds away, imagine the damage youd do suckin in a pigeon
Mo_Malone,
Maybe you said it in jest, but I do have concerns as to how I will install a filter. The suction from the Blower is incredible, even if it is only 1:1 Ratio
Once again, thanks for your words of encouragement.

Ordered myself a Racepak Ultra Dash yesterday (250-DS-UDXBS3) which will interface with my Big Stuff3 Electronic fuel injection brain.
I can now have one instrument panel as opposed to gauges everywhere, and option to display what I want to see.
I guess its not gonna be to everyones taste, but hey gotta do what you gotta do.
So will have a few anaolgue gauges, MSD RPM Controllers, etc for sale in the near future.
Its got loads of features, some which I will not use & some I dont even know what they are for
Fuel injection is a whole new game & learning experience for me
I'm a bit of a kid with gadgets, I'm the same when I walk into a HiFi shop, even if I dont need anything, I seem to end up with either new TV, Stereo, DVD recorder, etc
Standard features include:-
Engine rpm
Water temperature
Oil pressure & Temperature
Battery voltage.
Fuel pressure
Ability to add up to 32 additional channels for expandability. Records up to 10 minutes of data which you can play back later on the LCD display.
With Big3 Interface, I will also have data logging facilities for
Fuel Pressure
Drive shaft rpm
Trans Brake Input
Input shaft rpm
Vacuum
Brake Pedal
Turbo shaft rpm
MPH
TCC % Slippage
Auxiliary control of:-
Fuel Pump (High Side)
2 or 3 Stage Boost control
Fan Low / Fan High
2 spare high & low side outputs
1 spare PWM high & low side outputs
Reverse Lockout

Cannonball wrote:what headers mark, who you gettin to make them,
Probally gonna go with 2.5" into 4 or 4.5 collector, Andy Robinson will make them along with the rest of the exhaust system.
Will also use 2 exhaust boxes, more a case of what will fit as opposed to make/manf. Hence me looking into oval tubing to gain a bit more ground clearance.
As I understand it, in my Blown application, exhausts are not so critical more a case of the bigger the better.

Had another good trip to the US this week. Got my new Neal Chance converter & Race Pack dash.
I highly recommend both companies for superb service. I ordered the dash on Friday & was delivered on Monday. I ordered my converter on Sunday & was delivered yesterday afternoon.
Marty Chance was extremely help full in selecting/building converter for my application. I decided to go for the big 10" PRO-MOD bolt together converter , with MDX Monster Sprag & Turbo Ring Extension. Its quite a tight converter & stall is around 4,800rpm.
I know one thing, my wallet is extremely lighter now

jerry wrote:sounds like your nearly there with all your parts mark.have you sorted out the fuel cell yet.i'll send you a list of all the petrol stations on the way to my house if you fancy poping over
any idea of when you'll get the car back from andy's
cheers jerry
Got most of the parts, main thing left is new center section & new bigger shafts. Will pro bally order in next month & hand carry back with me in Sept.
Gonna fabricate a tank, everything out there that I have seen so far doesn't suit the space I have. I'm not sure how thirsty this thing will be 5mpg ? so wanna have around 25 gall capacity. Was even thinking of installing fuel pumps inside tank as they are also submersible.
As for when car will be ready from Andy's, I'm not sure. I guess end Sept or early Oct. I will try to go over to his next week as gotta drop some stuff. So will see if any or what progress has been made. Will take camera just in case.
Cheers,
Mark . . .

Cheers for the nice comments.
I haven't seen the progress for couple of weeks as been in Poland & now in Barcelona this week.
Another 2 weeks or so before I get home. Only home for 4 days, hopefully will get a chance to go over to Andys to see how he's getting on.
What were you doin at Andys, another Pro Mod Mopar on the menu ! !
