If they moved the border back down to the wall I wouldn't mind. At least I would get free prescriptions.

I guess Norway and must be in financial hardship then. You know, small nation, oil dependant not in the EU etc.

When Norway gained independence from Denmark they dropped the DKK and started their own currency, the NOK. I cannot see why we could not do the same? Scottish paper money is hardly accepted (nor is it legally) in England anyway. So I really dont see us having a Scottish Pound will be an issue.

Regarding the Queen, I dont know many who actually want an German/English Monarchy, I actually think its because the Royal family own such a huge portion of Scotland that deals have been done to keep her there. My opinion only of course.

Interesting to see that Oil only makes up 15% of Scotland's Economy.

I need a passport to go to Norway, not a big issue to take one over the wall is it?

Watch the vid if you're interested, remember those figures are not in dispute.

Difference is that its established, and has been established for nearly 200 years!

The European economy is vastly different today and realistically the whole of Europe is now more or less integrated.

Passport thing may well be an issue. A large majority of people that visit Scotland are old and wrinkly. Most don't do boats and planes, so choose a week in the highlands as a yearly treat.

This group don't have passports and probably won't have the £100 per person to do so, so tourism may well drop. Drop in the ocean I know in relation to revenue but......you get the idea.

I've been to Scotland once in 32 years. Pass Inverness the roads are the stuff of dreams....alas the distance is to great when I have Wales within an hour of my front door!

Can we keep Billy Connelly though?

You can have Joey Essex and all the other reality muppets in return!!!

Having just been to Wales (which is supposedly sort of independent) it's amazing to see the level of road improvements done or ongoing, much widening, straightening and resurfacing. Local parks are well maintained, towns are clean. Everything seems to be getting plenty of cash thrown at it. Looking round here locally seeing rough narrow roads and towns like rough ghettoes it makes me wonder where my tax money goes. Will Scotland be the same after the vote? I know ££ billions go from England into Scotland already,I would expect that to stop as soon as independence was declared. It looks like Wales is getting much more than it's fair share right now.

I presume you have not done much research into who pays for exploration have you? I'll not bother to explain, if you're really interested (I guess you're not) its all available on-line. But to cut a long story short its not the Government. But just say you were right the revenue in the first year of production would have easily covered this.

Dont you think that if England was paying for our prescriptions and Uni etc and everything else you could think up the Government would love to get rid of us? Why are they not encouraging it instead of pulling favors in from Obama etc to keep Scotland in the 'Union' with fluff piece about how we are so much better together?

So no other Scottish members going to join in? For or against? I cant be the only Scotsman still on the Forum am I?

Not sure what you mean by this? What I find is the further South you go the less they will accept Scottish Money. They look at you like you have offered to pay with Monopoly Money. :D
