That's good news mate hope it all goes well on the rolling road, I can't believe the amount of time you've spent setting up your motor, even when you got to Krispy without your car last time, you were still studying your data, true dedication. I'm glad it's finally paid off :thumbright:

Jim, It's because I can be a stubborn Son of a Bitch, when the mood takes me. I hate not being able to get my head round things, wished I was more that way when in school :(

An easier option would of been to go to a regular style Inj hat, but I never wanted to go that route & I was helped by the fact that I didn't want a 3k Carbon Fibre wall ornament :D

Taking my laptop to KK's that day, was a way of me unwinding, chatting to friends over a few cups of coffee & hoping an inspirational :idea1: moment would guide to me what was happening.

As it happens, I got sod all ideas.....

So that's when I decided to leave it for a few weeks, then come back & attack it

All being well, see you Sunday [-o<

Krispys is the third Sunday the 16th, so you've still got a couple of weeks to get it spot on idling as 572 blown injected hemi should

I have spoken/corresponded to Donny quite a few times, hes got a few things to sort out, but as you can imagine these toys often take longer than expected.
As I said yesterday, its not so easy to get to the route of the problem or get advice to assist. I'm sure Donny & the Warpig will appear early part of next year.
As for running side by side, yeah that would be great :thumbright:

Well the Rolling road was an interesting day ;) Got lost on route, but the guy was good enough to come & meet us, was only couple of miles away

Got the car on the rollers, slight difficulty because of my lowish exhaust, but no big drama. The owner, Charlie then proceeded to strap the car down from the rear. When I was advising him where to secure the car, I said "I thought they would be great big straps" he said don't worry these have a 5 ton loading, which put me at ease.

My objective for the day, was to get the bottom end smoothed out & not about getting max power/pulls on the dyno.

Had to increase the idle up to 1200rpm, as 8000rpm when in gear was just too low. Once motor was warmed up, we loaded the dyno & did couple of low end pulls. Computer & dyno was showing we needed to play a bit with fuel Map, also played with timing. Motor seemed to be a lot smoother, although big pulses from the blower dont help, but OK.

Another quick check & we were ready for a higher loading on the dyno, motor warmed up, air fan to feed & cool the car was in full force, Charlie does his dyno checks, everyone is happy & all systems go... RPM's rise, motor starts to get on it, then bang car climbs straight out of the rollers & shoots forward about 12-18" The above sentence in real time was around 2-3 secs ;)
Well, we sheared one of those 5 ton straps  but no damage done (Apart from my pants :D) Car was re strapped & additional strap was also included.

Another pre check, everyone was happy, thumbs up & ready for a higher pull, obviously some in-trepidation (by me anyway) & squeezed the motor up to 4,500 - 5,000rpm. Spent some time going through the data recording, few more adjustments at the lower end, but mid to upper range A/F was spot on, timing was great, fuel was OK. Think this produced around 700hp to the rear wheels. Power curve on his Computer screen, was more of a steep vertical line, so some more in there ;)

Decided to do one more pull, same checks as previous & were off again, but once over 5,000rpm, car was trying to climb out of the rollers & we all agreed that no need to Bananarama!, Charlie didn't wan't to damage his dyno, I didn't want to unnecessarily damage my motor, so cut the run short. Plus dyno & my converter didn't seem to like each other as there was signs of obvious slipping also taking into account the combination of tyres, not wanting to load the roller, etc, etc. Horsepower for this was down due to the above, will have to check data later to see what the number was.

Based on his experience of 3,000+ pulls, he thought under the right conditions should be close to 850hp at the rear wheels.

All in all, a few hours (3hrs) well spent, gained load of info, motor getting better all the time 8-)

I did take some video, but need to download it & re size to suit you-tube, so sorry you will have to wait a couple of days :thumbright:
