There is no reason you couldn't run those numbers Clive and I doubt strokers with stock manifolds would run much faster either.

NOT AN ORGANIZED RACE AS SUCH clarify that statement that's what i had in mind not some great big drag race meet as some people on here would have you believe. The replies from certain people would imply i was plotting some kind of take over of the whole proceedings[/quote]
this is exactley pete;s point organise a bit off bracket racing between our or yourselves then its not classed as a full on race event,
trouble with it i see pete is tryin to make sure the cars get paired up together, and if its bracket racin wether the pod staff will run a bracket tree for such a little bit off fun,
good look to you if you decide to try to put it together

I don't think Pete wants to go as far as "real" bracket racing (way too complicated for the Sanat Poo crew @ the Nats), I think he's more after pairing cars of a similar ET, eg me and AndyRob (11.72 and 11.6). This would look more exciting than, say, an 8 second Strret Eliminator car against a standard Dodge Ram. I know for a fact I find a close race more exciting when I'm in the car even if I lose, as my 60ft is great but the other guy overhauls me by the stripe, cool runnings! 8-) 8-)

If it was 13,s its not an unattainable target for the right car, surely?
Miles, Stock Appearing was won by my mate, Mick Elsworth in his 68 Coronet with a 13.60...

The Green Charger is Glinn Biggs, think he ran 13.62..

My best was 13.86..

There is NO Stock Class at the Nats, Just Stock Appearing :thumbright:
Mr Biggs is NOT stock , check out his glove box , also the heads. ;)

The fastest stock appearing car at this years Nats ran 12.5 ish.

Unfortunately, it isn't allowed to run in the Stock Appearing class because (a) it is too fast, , (b) it is too young and (c) it isn't a MoPar.

I don't get it , the best times a factory stock 440 ran were low 14s (if they were lucky) , so whats the point , if a stock 440 runs in the 13s, IT AINT STOCK.

Talkin B bodies.

what was it then sandy,
and just for the record i think other makes off cars should be allowed in our classes, so long as they are legal to do so

It was black and it had a V6. :D

In the US they have a cutoff of 1974 for their stock appearing cars, because they know that, fully falling within the rules, the newer cars would blow the doors off the older ones.
