I'm about to fit a line lock and the instructions say it should be fitted after the proportioning valve. This involves blocking off one of the front brake outlets from the valve and taking the other front outlet to the line lock. The output of the line lock goes to a T connector and then off to both front brakes. This involves renewing both front brake pipes and making a few more as well. Why can't the line lock be fitted before the proportioning valve like in this picture? That is what I had in mind before I read the instructions.
That looks like a Hurst line lock in the picture. I have the Summit line lock and it looks identical but only has one output. The one in the picture has two outputs plugged. It looks right to me the way it is piped.
My linelock's in the line before the differential thingy. Yes the light comes on when linelocked and on the brake, just as it should in a pressure differential situation....That block in the pic is only the pressure/brakelight switch, not a proportioning valve?

Went ahead and fitted it straight after the master cylinder. Seems to work ok, just need to wire up the switch. Didn't try it with the ignition on so I don't know yet if the warning light comes on or not.
Kev, your right, i thought maybe it was a combined proportioning valve and warning light switch.
Fitted mine on the rear, allowing for rolling burnouts
Fitted the one you have from Summit, but solinoid was faulty,so ended up getting one from Real Steel (morosso) had to reconfigure the lines,as the morosso one was end to end fittings,
