Adam's MATS pics (all 230 uploaded now)

Post by Adam »

My first time at the MATS, and I'd recommend it. We met up with Rob(twin) Yvonne (Mrs Robtwin) and son Andrew for a meal at the Cannery on the Thurs night, then bumped into Pete Webb, Little Andy and Big Chris at the show. Dean Bailey was the only show at the MP trailer, but it was good to catch up with him. The French Connection were there (with a Hemi Cuda convertible!), and we had a delightful chat with Clare, who said she will bringing her Dad's Hemi Cuda circuit racer to the EuroNats this year.

The theme of the show was the 40th anniversary of the infamous 1968 SS cars, and I counted 27 of the original 50 SS Barracudas and Darts. Of those, 17 raced in the SS shootout, many of them running 8's.

Anyway, here's a few track pics to be going on with. I'll upload some show cars later.

Great pics Adam.....Did you get to the Three Dog Night gig on Saturday at the Cannery? French Connection are 10 years young this year, we are planning on a great celebration for them at the EuroNats this year, glad you all had a good time, wish I had gone, probs next year.
