If it is on points then it it is 0.5-0.5 ohms @ 75 deg F

I have not got the E.I. figures at hand..

That does not leave a lot of room for error does it Alex? :lol:

0.5 ohm is cool for electronic ignition. If you had a dual resistor then the aux side of it should be 5 ohms.

I don't understand what the 5ohm resistor is for either. As you can see from the diagram plug connector #1 is in effect just spliced to the same end of the 0.5 resistor as the IGN1 wire.

The other end of the 5ohm resistor goes to #3 which in single ballast resistor set-ups is simply left unconnected. So if you just want to use a singlr resistor just follow this old Chrysler diagram.
